Thanks to funding from the WA Department of Health, we are able to provide a range of free or very low cost professional development opportunities. Below are examples of what we are able to provide to your school.

Tailored Training

Our team is available to deliver personalised RSE workshops for individual school sites. We can present sessions of various lengths (45-120 minutes, half day, full day, two days) and can support either all your staff collectively, or specific learning areas or teams. We are happy to work with schools to deliver sessions focused on a variety of RSE topics including:

Gender inclusivity
Online Safety
Accessibility
Whole school Approach to RSE
Contemporary issues for young people
Developing engaging RSE lessons
and more!

Note: We do not deliver student presentations and availability is limited.

Live Training

The RSE Project provides a wide variety of professional development opportunities to anyone working in Western Australian schools. This includes:

two-day workshops
after-school seminqars
webinars
symposiums and,
tertiary education units.

We cover a broad range of topics, all related to relationships and sexuality education (RSE) across primary and secondary years as well as addressing a whole of school approach with parents, educators and policy.

Tailored Support

The RSE Project can perform an audit of your current RSE practice, review your health programs, and make suggestions for improvement. We also provide recommendations regarding the various external agencies in WA who could support your RSE programs and can help you make connections with schools similar to your own who are willing to share their RSE strategies.

Recorded Training

Each term we host an online webinar focused on a specific RSE topic, with an emphasis on how this issue relates to the school context. Sessions are presented by a range of different Western Australian and interstate organisations, or staff from the RSE Project.

Recordings of past events including after-school webinars and our Symposia are hosted on our YouTube channel. The channel also showcases examples of RSE implementation within various WA school sites.
